Walter Lane Smith III, known as Lane Smith (April 29, 1936 – June 13, 2005) was an American actor.
He's known for portraying: Coach Jack Reilly in The Mighty Ducks, Jim Trotter III in My Cousin Vinny, Mayor Bates in Red Dawn, Nathan Bates in V, Perry White in Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman and President Richard Nixon in The Final Days.
