Maze Runner: The Scorch Trials is a 2015 American dystopian science fiction film based on James Dashner's 2010 novel The Scorch Trials. It was directed by Wes Ball, from a screenplay by T.S. Nowlin. It was released in select international territories on September 9, 2015, and was released in the United States on September 18, 2015 by 20th Century Fox.
